Agitar Software Wins the Prestigious 2004 Duke’s Choice Award at JavaOne Developer Conference

Duke's Choice Java Award Winner Sun CEO Scott McNealy and Java Creator James Gosling judge Agitar’s Enterprise Developer Testing among coolest projects in the world for Java technology.

Agitar Software, the leader in enterprise developer testing, today announced the company was named a prestigious Duke’s Choice Award winner by Sun Microsystems CEO Scott McNealy. The awards celebrate the best in the business from among all the cool projects in the world of Java technology as judged by Sun CEO McNealy and Java creator James Gosling.

Agitar, backed by venture capital firms Sequoia and NEA, enables enterprise Java development teams to implement developer testing programs, improving the quality of software products, while speeding up development cycles and reducing overall software lifecycle costs.

"We’re honored that Sun has recognized our breakthrough Java technology as well as the importance of enterprise developer testing," said Jerry Rudisin, CEO of Agitar. "It’s very exciting to be included with fellow Duke’s Choice award-winners such as eBay and the JPL's Mars interplanetary missions, and to be the only enterprise software vendor recognized."

McNealy presented the second-annual Duke's Choice Awards for most innovative Java™ Technology applications. The Duke's Choice Awards, now in their second year, recognize the best-of-the-best in the world of Java technology development. Winners received a statue of "Duke," the Java mascot, and a certificate of recognition from McNealy and Gosling, creator of the Java programming language.
